The Snow Queen was a very fast read. Fascinating and quite captivating, and nothing I had expected. For some reason I could see the story in front of my eyes while reading it; as if I was watching a movie or a TV-series, which made it even more intriguing.This is not a story for children or teens, but a must read for mature ya or for the adults. So if you love spiced up fairytales, this might just be the right read for you! Excellent job!

It was fun reading about powerful characters that do not take themselves too seriously.
As always, May took a boring old fairytale and gave it a modern twist. And then some. However, definitly don't read this while cold. It makes you even colder. Loved Fyn, he is the best hero yet.
I've never read the original fairytale, but this one is awesome! Love the characters and loved the ending! Though, I wish I'd known if she'd gotten pregnant.
Maybe an expansion will be about?! ) Love it!
I always enjoy May's stories including her modern reinterpretations of classic fairy tales. Her stories have a good pace and at least a bit of race.
I really like this take on the snow queen.
The snow queen, who is a goddess...awesome, is a badass who doesn't need anything or anyone. All she wants is to protect the gate and sleep, yet Kai can't seem to believe that's all she wants.
It is a really great story and I'm definitely going to read it again.
I have read many fairy tale retellings and I have to say I found this one lacking. The snow queen was what drew me to this novel in the first place as she is a favorite of mine but I was very disappointed in the lack of character development. It's the typical porn without plot with a bit of a fantasy edge, so if you're into that by all means. But even then there was really only one sex scene and a lot of lust driven thoughts. It was a good one time read and in the novel's defense, it is extremely short so there is not a lot of room for any development. There are some quirky characters and Kai's infatuation with Eira is fun to watch unfold. Just can't say it's a favorite.
This was a sexy, well-written retelling of the Snow Queen fairy tale! Eira, a goddess, has spent most of the last 2000 years napping because nothing is interesting enough to keep her awake. Kai spends his time trying to protect his clan and find enough food and water for everyone in the isolated, frozen mountain area where they live. Then he sees Eira and can't leave her alone and defenseless. It was a quick read, and it was so fun to read this version! This is a stand alone story, though is part of a series of updated versions of fairy tales.
