This is a pretty good start to a series. It is fast paced and makes me want to read the next installment. I gave it only 4 stars, due to typographical and grammatical errors. I will definitely be reading the next books in this series, as well as recommending it to others.Product details

I bought this story in Travis McBee's collection of short stories, A Midnight Stroll.
I have to know what happens next! This whole short story felt like a well written novel and the ending will leave you wanting more just like it did me. The story starts out kind of like Stephen King’s Children of the Corn as far as the empty town and something is not right. Other than that it really isn’t much like it, but I thought it may have been worth mentioning. McBee is really descriptive about everything without overdoing it so you can really visualize what it all looks like. I feel like he actually went to the places in the story and just described what he saw. And the story itself, especially when he figures out what happened, gets crazy and pretty intense! I really enjoyed this story and will definitely read it again.
